Some answers to the most asked questions. 

What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-in is at 3pm, check-out is at 3pm

How will we get in?

We will give you a unique four digit code to enter the back door to the cabin.

How many people can the cabin accommodate?

Our cabin can accommodate up to 7 people. We have 2 queen beds, one full bed, one twin bed, and one extra twin mattress.

What rules do you have?

No pets and no smoking.

What about parking?

We have a gravel driveway with parking that can accommodate 3 cars easily.

Do you have AC?

Yes, we have mini splits in each of the bedrooms and one in the living room. You can control each room to your preferred temperature.

Do you have a firepit?

Yes, but you'll need to bring your own wood, and check on whether there are currently burn ban rules in effect in Packwood.

Do you have a hot tub?

We should have one by the middle of December 2025.

Do you have a grill?

Not yet, but we should by Spring 2026.

Do you have a place we can put skis and boots?

Yes, we have a shed that you can use.

What about snow?

For most of the winter, we're about 1,000 feet beneath the snow line. We do get snow, but it isn't as deep as you might think. That said, if you're looking for it, you only need to drive about 10-15 miles toward White Pass to get your fill.

Is there a local grocery store?

Yes, there is Blanton's Market, which has the basics.

Are there restaurant options?

Packwood has Cruisers Pizza, Nachos Mexican restaurant, Blue Spruce bar food, Cliff Droppers burgers, and Packwood Brewing has a few dinner options as well. For breakfast you can get coffee and muffins/breakfast scones at The Mountain Goat Coffee.

Will we see elk?

You're likely to see groups of elk around our property. They are shy herbivores, and not threatening to humans unless they're provoked. Do not approach them or attempt to feed them by hand.

Do you have any cameras?

Yes, we have two exterior camera's, one on front of the cabin and one on the back of cabin for security and insurance purposes. 

Tips

Cell coverage is very limited, so be sure to have directions, door code, and WIFI info accessible before heading out
